Viewpoint closes its Executive Board election poll; Schulze elected treasurer
May 1, 2022
Viewpoint School has closed the 2022-2023 Student Council Executive Board election voting poll, two days after voting began. On April 28th, students and faculties gathered in Paul Family Athletic Center to hear candidates’ speeches; the election poll thus was opened after all presentations are concluded.
Compared to last year’s Executive Board election, where the poll stayed active over a weekend due to an initial low turnout rate, this year’s election saw polling concluded relatively quickly.
As of the date of this edit, May 1st, the Patriot can only confirm that incoming Lena Schulze (23′) has been elected to next year’s executive board as she ran unopposed. Viewpoint School will release the final result early next week, “We are looking forward to releasing the result; hopefully as soon as possible,” said the assistant head of Upper School, Hilary Hunt.
This year’s election saw ten candidates contesting for the top jobs of Viewpoint School’s student government. Four candidates contested in the presidential campaign. “The entire Executive Board is looking forward to congratulating members-elect following the final result,” says the incumbent Vice President Barry Yao.
The Patriot will thus cover the election results.
