Gracie Abrams’ The Secret of Us Tour kicked off Thursday September 5th and it was brought to Los Angeles September 9th, 11th, and 12th. I went to the first night in LA and she did not disappoint.
The show was at the Greek Theatre, and started with opener Role Model, who performed a 45 minute set at 8pm Gracie Abrams started at 9 and performed 22 songs for an hour and 45 minutes. I had never been to the Greek Theatre before and I absolutely loved it. The sound is good and you are surrounded by trees, making you forget you are even in Hollywood.
Put simply, the concert was amazing. The crowd was into it and Gracie couldn’t have been more appreciative of her hometown fans. The lights and effects were not too much or too little, her voice sounded amazing, and it had an intimate atmosphere. During her surprise song part of the show she brought out her best friend and co-writer Audrey Hobert. They sang an unreleased song, That’s So True. She plays her hit songs I Miss You I’m Sorry, Close to You, Risk, and Us.
In attendance was Olivia Rodrigo and her parents, JJ Abrams and Kate Mccrath. During the final song, Close to You, which was by far the loudest the crowd was all night, JJ was seen filming Gracie.
Overall, the concert was an amazing experience. Gracie Abrams is a fantastic singer, performer, and songwriter. She has become more and more popular lately, and this show demonstrated exactly why.
