The girls soccer team had an amazing victory yesterday afternoon, going into double overtime against Santa Ana! A “Golden Goal “ was scored in the final 2 minutes by Charlotte Young, putting the game away with a final score of 2-1. The other goal was scored by Mishara Briscoe. Congratulations to everyone on the team for their efforts throughout the season and for this win! The student section at this game was alive, with chants like “Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole!!” and “Let’s go Viewpoint!”. We wish them luck on their next game, which is on Ring Field at 3:00pm on Friday!
The boys basketball team had the PFAC packed with people from wall to wall in their tough back and forth battle against Capistrano Valley. The final game winning basket was from Wesley Waddles with one second left on the clock, with the final score being 43-42. A huge congrats to everyone on the team, you all played your hearts out. Although your next game is an away game, the Viewpoint spirit will still be with you guys! GO PATRIOTS!
Our school is filled with pride right now, and we have to keep supporting these teams for now and for the future to come.
