On Wednesday, March 12th, Viewpoint’s Feminism Club Hosted an event to celebrate Women’s History Month. The club supplied Jeopardy! games with different women’s history related categories as well spotlighting important women and women that have not gotten the recognition they deserve. We learned about how Caitlin Clark scored the most NCAA points in basketball for both men and women and how crucial Greta Thunberg was to fighting for our planet since she was a kid. In the jeopardy game, the more points you scored the more tickets you earned which could be redeemed at a raffle for fun prizes, (which I was one of the winners of, sucks to suck). But perhaps the greatest part of the celebration was the donuts from USA Donuts in Canoga Park (a women owned donut shop) that nearly every person I have talked to said are some of the best donuts they ever had.
This was a fun event that helped bring Viewpoint students together over donuts, trivia, and women’s rights!
