Students from Viewpoint attended the Los Angeles World Affairs Council LA Youth Diplomacy Forum in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Consul Generals Evgenia Beniatoglou (Greece), Ivonne Guzman(Equador), and Lamia Mekhemar (Egypt) spoke about their experiences in foreign service as well as international and youth issues specific to their country. ​

They also discussed important skills for succeeding in international affairs such as communication skills, flexibility, analytical skills, negotiation skills and experience.

Students say they are thankful to the Los Angeles World Affairs Council for offering high school students this opportunity to attend Council events like this with international leaders and diplomats. They say this event opened a window on the world giving all in attendance a more global outlook on current affairs.
