Sela Diab, Editor-in-Chief
As a senior, Sela Diab is an Editor in Chief of “The Patriot.” Along with that, she is Student Body President, a member of the CORE Executive Board, and a Founders Club member. Sela is also a part of the swim team, and is looking forward to becoming a captain this year. She has a paid job writing for the Hidden Hills magazine and is also a co-founder of the club Viewpoint for Soldiers and Veterans. She works with Operation Gratitude separately by making paracord bracelets, and also has her own makeup account on Instagram (@sela_makeup). “Evin and Sela Do Things” is also her blog where her and her friend explore LA and share beauty tips. She has an internship with FiLM Independent for the “Film Arabi” series, and works with the charity Caritas by raising money to help undocumented citizens around the world. She has her bronze, silver, and gold medals for the Duke of Edinburgh Award, is a Global Institute Member and Global Scholar, and loves kids which shows through her working at Camp Roadrunner over the summer-a camp for kids ages 4-10. She loves journalism and plans to use it in her future career, which shows through her being a member of the Honors Society, Quill and Scroll. Sela’s favorite subjects, other than journalism, are English, Latin, and history.
